Simon and Garfunkel are without doubt everybody of the most successful songwriting duos of the ’60s, reaching a comparable level of popularity to the Beatles during the latter part of the decade. Define this garnering shows a different duo were really memorable melodies and how they performed together.
Although varied have been put out of the sterile couple more folk-rock arrangements and harmonies clean altar boy, this whip-round shows that there was a lot more for their artistic palette. Songs like "Homeward Bound", "I Am a Rock," "Cecilia" and "Mrs. Robinson", certify that the duo could rock with the best of them and "The Sound of Silence" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water" are just some of the records beautifully timeless the couple has given us. It may not be as definitive as claimed, but this is a loving terrible collection with some of their best work and best known. – Paul Sullivan
